Waimea

Waimea Kahale is the momi, "pearl," of the ocean. She is a beautiful girl with hair going down to her waist. She is not scared or frightened. She is brave. She will fight even if it takes her life.

The island she grew up on and worshiped is the eldest of all the Hawaiian islands, Kauai. She grows to praise the Garden Isles for its nourishing plants and flowers. She adores how the island has a mixture of mountains, palm trees, and ocean.

She is the daughter of a Tahitian chief, Makaio, but he is known by Leo, "king." She eavesdrops on the tribe's council meetings, until one day her perfect life goes down the drain.
