Tyler had been in chemo for a while yet nothing had happened, except for his cancer worsening. His best friend, Beth, wanted him to keep fighting because she had hope. Yet hope was a confusing thing for Tyler, because he never had the hope that chemo would do anything. He simply believed that this was something he could never escape; unless of course it took his life. Yet he couldn't bring himself to ask the doctors to just let him die, he had someone who he loved more than a friend, someone he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He couldn't leave her. He wouldn't. Unless the cancer took him.
