People always thought that hell was a burning inferno or a frozen wasteland, but they were only partially correct. Hell was a mirror version of Earth, but instead of whole buildings, everything was in ruins. Skeletons of skyscrapers outlined the horizon against a blood red sky. A dry hot wind picked up, scattering sand and dust along the thirsty land. The damned souls of humans were kept in the volcanoes, to mine out the precious minerals known only in Hell. Thus, the burning inferno part. A string of mountains stood between Hell’s castle and the Frozen Desert. This brought about the frozen wasteland theory. The only night that demons can escape to Earth is on All Hallows’ Eve. Even then they are restricted to Earth for only two weeks. They have that much time to find a wife or servant for until the next year. On a ridge not far from Hell’s Gates, a wolf demon waits, waiting for the perfect moment. Sure enough, a black vortex opens in front of the Gates. He calls four of his comrades to his side, and just like that, they vanish into the black depths of the portal.
