"What Lies Ahead" follows June Adkins one month after a mysterious virus that turns humans into the undead went global. She's spent most of that time counting off each day entirely alone, hiding in her closet in Atlanta, Georgia. Just as she loses hope, she encounters Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes, and the two venture off into a world where zombies outnumber humans 5000 to 1, in search of other survivors.
