Amanda Brooklyn - she came up with her own surname, she made her own reputation. Sure, she was always the cleverest girl in the room - but she was also the biggest rebel of them all. Well, if you don't have any parents to guide the way for ya - then what choice do you have?

Amanda grew up at a little orphanage in downtown Brooklyn. She was what you would call a "Hoodgirl". With not even a penny in her pocket, she doesn't have money for any further education than high school. With straight A's that she hides away from her friends, a bad reputation and no parents - people start to wonder if this girl will ever be good. Basically, her life is messed up.

That's when her whole life changes... that's when she meets the Doctor.
