Until he gets mysteriously sick and Porlyusica has determined it's mate sickness. An illness that's the result of being rejected by your soulmate and can be fatal if not cured. He needs his soulmate to accept him but he won't tell anyone who that is.

It's the mating season of the Dragon Slayers. They're all looking for their mates. Everyone is finding their mate on their first day. Everyone but Natsu. He hesitates and worries because he can't find her yet. Lisanna is convinced that she's Natsu's mate and sets out to seduce him. Natsu, on the other hand, refuses her. Natsu knows she isn't his mate or he would have mated with her already. Lucy was warned of this but doubted that she wasn't his mate. But right after Lucy comes back from a 3-day-long job.
