At twenty one years of age, Blair Muller was a talented, intelligent girl living a charmed life in the suburbs of Jesper. She had a perfect family. A perfect house. A perfect boyfriend. Until the incident, a brutal attack she endured after a college graduation party. Although she managed to survive certain death, she never really returned to feeling like herself. She withdraws herself from her seemingly picture perfect life, breaks up with her star football player boyfriend and shut herself away from the world. She was angry and by the time she'd gained control of the ravenous hunger inside of her, she was ready to seek revenge.

But she has no idea what is in store for her. Without meaning to, she plunges herself into a den of lions. Vampire hunters with a violent and mysterious leader--someone she finds herself just as terrified of as she was attracted to. She discovers that she's not the only vampire in Jesper, not even close. And in discovering an underground brood of vicious bloodsuckers, she finds herself trapped between her two worlds--part of her wishing she could return to her life of peace and luxury another part not even wanting to.
