Nailah's life is shattered when she witnesses her abusive father, Malik, being shot by her mother in an act of self-defense. As they flee, Nailah grapples with trauma, complicated relationships, and growing feelings for Qui, a gang member. As the story progresses, twists reveal a deeper struggle, culminating in a mind-bending plot twist where Nailah realizes everything was a dream-a manifestation of her mind's attempt to cope with the trauma of her past. Some late night thoughts, memories and feelings that turned into words. Most of these are written from my personal, very tragic life, however there are some inspired by friends, books and movies. Sometimes I even find old writings in a long forgotten drawer and upload them as well. Maybe You can relate to something as well? Honestly at this point it's more like a public diary but who cares. I started this a few years ago, so mistakes and moments of cringe are inevitable. Feel free to leave a comment if you see a grammatical or editorial error! I write on different devices so the formatting will differ quite a bit. I think it adds to the charm of the poems though, so please understand! Thank you and farewell!

Most of this is sad, any TW will be at the start of them I'm a 17 y/o (Started this when I was 15) just wanting to share some of my poetry with people other than my friends :] (Also feel free to comment any tips and how I could improve on my writing!)

These words, "I'll kill any guy who comes close to you," and "If I don't have you, nobody else will." We took them too lightly. We all had things that happened to us which we vowed never to talk about. Secrets we kept. The lies we said. The heartaches that still hurts at night and the forbidden sex we had with other people. Above all, that one person who didn't fit in the fabulous life we lived. High school was trash. All the threats and fights which occurred made us hate the word 'School' Hoping college would be a good start for us, we held our heads up high like saints. If I'm to really confess what happened, I would say WE all KILLED him. Contains A Little Bit Of Mature Themes and Strong Language. Get Your Tissues Ready❤️
