Cassandra Reel is a 16 year old high schooler that goes to Sugar Grove High. She lives a normal teenage life; getting bullied by the "popular girls", having arch-enemies that you want to, even though your parents yell at you for saying it, want to kill. One day, a demon comes up from hell in search of something. The only way it could tell if you were that something it was looking for is to kill you and feel your soul. The demon kills several people in Sugar Grove High. Everyone is on the lookout, but that isn't enough. Cassandra meets a detective who is also clueless on this case, but determined to get it solved. His name is Micheal Sanchez. He is a 28 year old man who aspires to be part of the FBI someday. Maybe this case will do just the trick, and he'll catch a murderer in the process. Soon the demon has killed almost 80 people. Cassandra and Micheal, determined to stop it, tries to find the killer. They were oblivious to the fact that the killer was actually a demon, they had ignored all the signs. So, for that ignorance the demon finds Cassandra first. Leaving Micheal to complete the mission they had set out to do alone.

Nevaeh Gerard killed her mother. She's the reason her mother is dead. And her father always made sure she knew it. Always reminded her of it. Which is why she was relieved when her father went missing 5 years ago. She'd finally be able to quit hunting for good, live her normal, apple pie life with her perfect boyfriend, and go to college, just like she'd dreamed of since a little girl. Just like her big brother encouraged her to. His life was ruined because of hunting, but her life doesn't have to. But that Ill-fated dream is squashed when her brother stops returning her phone calls, and 1 week later, Dean Winchester, a childhood friend who she hasn't seen for 6 years, breaks into her apartment and tells her that the disappearance of her brother and both their fathers is all somehow connected to her. Now, she's sucked right back into the life she so desperately fought to get out of.
