Ware Shoals. A quiet mill town in 1930's South Carolina. Where everybody knows everybody and nothing gets past the back row Baptists and their Bible study gossip sessions. The squat housewives of Ware Shoals have never had so much to pray about as they did in the year 1933. Not only was the depression at it's lowest point but the depravity of the youth in their perfect little town was blossoming to the surface. And it seemed to have everything to do with Shiloh Mobly and the new preacher's daughter Rose Clenton.
