This is the first book in my DanganronpaXOc series.
Suzu Tominaga is a third year at Hopes Peak Academy. She just transferred in and is somewhat exited to join her new class. Unfortunately, because of her lack of friendships and human contact over the years, she's not too sure how to make friends; her talent making most people avoid her doesnt help.
This is the story of how Suzu Tominaga and the rest of class 77 fell into despair. They live, they love, they laugh, they learn, and despair is right behind it all.

Hajime Hinata is on a class trip to Jabberwock Island with ultimate students at Hope's peak academy. Although he's with kids from school and would most likely get along with them...he feels a strange awkwardness when around them. There's a catch though, Hajime isn't really like the others; he doesn't have an ultimate. Because of that, he thinks the others might look down on him. But there is one student that looks down on him the most, Nagito Komaeda: the ultimate lucky student. He believes since Hajime doesn't have a talent, he's not valid like everyone else and decides to put him down for something he can't control. Hajime just wants to be friends with everyone, but because this inconvenience he's very insecure about being around the others, and distances himself. Then Kazuichi Souda and Chiaki Nanami decide to include him since they feel bad, they just want him to be happy. Hajime starts to open up a bit after hanging out with them a lot, maybe with this new confidence he can get that one stubborn student to finally like him.
