Jen could still remember the last dinner the whole family on her Dad's side had together - a meal filled with plates and plates of amazingly appetising meals.  But now, they are all nonexistent, extinct, totally gone, all due to her cousin John's mysterious disappearance.

Now, 2 years on, Jen recounts on what happened during the last dinner together, and embarks on a discovery that could tear her whole family apart.  At the same time, she is captivated by a feeling she has never thought about deeply before in her whole life, and she begins to understands more and more about people she knows, especially John.  And why his grandpa behaves weirdly towards him and not Phoebe.  Or Jen herself.  And how her family is much more complicated than her pure, naïve mind really suggests.  And also how suspicion has been in the whole family for centuries on end, never stopping or breaking in the entire chain of relatives.
