Around a year after they have returned from Narnia Edmund falls ill and the doctors believe they cannot save them. A message from Aslan reaches the Pevensies; they can save Edmund if they go to Narnia, for the illness will not exist in that world. It's been a year since Isabell and the Pevensies returned to England. And nearly a year since the Pevensies left the manor. For a year, Isabell has been alone in the manor, writing to her friends.
