Emi has known Kida since they were kids.
Emi always loved how he could make anything funny and brighten her day.
While her mother suffered from terminal cancer he had stood by her always sure to shine a little hope her way.
After having to move away for her mother's health she is back in Ikebukuro after several years.
Emi had tried to stay in touch with her best friend, but found that they eventually grew apart.
However, when Emi runs into him after all this time she discovers him exactly the same.
Even though she knew how much she had been changed over the course of her time away she was glad to know that Kida wasn't any different.
