High school is always the same old same old, nothing ever really happens in the small town of Pelican. That is until something happened.
Simon Minter was an excellent student, but all people have their up and downs. Simon however had mostly downs. They were either rumors or something someone had done. He finally had enough of the school so he disappeared. Some think he was kidnapped, some think he is dead in a ditch somewhere, and some think we is doing it for attention.
Diane is a quiet girl who watches things from a distance. She had only two friends. Simon and Josh. When her and Josh start getting letters from a Simon Minter they think it's a joke, but then they start realizing it is indeed the real Simon Minter. There is no return address, but Diane is determined to find him.
