The citizens of the City have lived according to its orderly ways for as long as they could remember. Nobody stepped out of line. Nobody broke the rules. Nobody defied the government. Nobody came in. Nobody left.
The 'past' was not a word in the vocabulary of the people. There was no past. They had lived in the City since the beginning of time. There was only the future.
So when Quinn Johnson and Asher Woods discover a hidden book among the million pieces of technology, they do not turn it in. They read the book and reveal its secrets, hoping to indulge into their past.
That's when they realize what's going on. The government has been keeping something from them the whole time. Now, it's up to them to find their way back to the past and escape their oppressive society.
Little do they know what they're getting themselves into.
