Mercy Mickles is a simple high school student who has a secret that no one knows but her family and she is determined to keep it that way and live a normal life.

Marcus Clouse is the schools rebel and is very interested in Mercy. He has been watching her since the fourth grade. He likes her and he also knows her secret but she doesn't know that.

Some how they end up together and overcome a series of unfortunate events as they learn life lessons and discovered love and happiness before one of them as to leave forever.
