They didn't win the war. The Capitol stayed in control. We are still trapped in a prison we may never get out of. I forgave my father and mother, my brother never did. It's not their fault. Daddy almost died during the war. He's still here today. So is my mother. I live in the victor's village, District 4. I'm 15. I'm forced to put my name in the Reaping bowl every single year. Nightmares flood my mind every night. Nothing ever changes around here. Sitting by the water making a net or fishing with a trident. Going home and eating some sugar cubes. It's practically the same routine every day. Except for Reaping day, everyone's worst nightmare.

"In penance for their uprising, each district shall offer up a male and a female between the ages of 12 and 18 at a public "reaping". These tributes shall be delivered to the custody of the capitol. And then transferred into a public arena where they will fight to the death until a lone victor remains. Henceforth and forevermore this pageant shall be known as "The Hunger Games." - Treaty of Treason Y/n Khan, 17 years old, grew up in the poverty stricken, northwestern state of District 7, located in the country of Panem. His mother, Sienna Khan was the Victor of the 53rd Hunger Games, winning at the age of 18. He also has a younger brother named Axel at the age of 13. Y/n lived a pretty average life, with the exception of living comfortably in Victors Village with his family, away from the poverty that's common in District 7. He'd go to school where he'd be in the company of his best friends Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long, do labour work out in the forrest with his younger brother before curfew and repeat the next day. Things seemed to be going well for the Khan's and Y/n was happy to spend his life just the way it was. But sometimes happiness doesn't always last, and people have to make sacrifices in order to hold what's dear to them. On the morning of the reaping of the 72nd Annual Hunger Games, Y/n will find out that the odds are not always in your favour. ---------------------------- Disclaimer⚠️: I do not own RWBY or it's characters. "Maybe it's been years since I genuinely smiled. Maybe it's been years since I wanted to be apart of anything." Dexter Lowhill, District Elevens sixth winner of the 69th Hunger Games at the ripe age of eighteen years old. It was his last reaping for the rest of his life. He was supposed to stand there for ten minutes, hear the names get called, and walk off. But no, because the dumb fuck pulled out his name, of all names in that stupid box. When he won the games, he thought that was it. He was told that was it. He'd get to live the rest of his life in peace. But honestly? He wishes he killed himself the night before the Reaping. finnick odair x male!oc
