Never would have Callie Carrisso think that she would give a man another chance of winning her heart. She thought the only male she would ever let into her heart were her trusted bloodhound and her beloved horses. But once a drifter comes into town and does things no other man would think to do when it came to Callie Carrisso. But that drifter, Frenko 'Ace' Callaway, got her to open up to him when he saved her from dying in the snow after a seizure. He saved her multiple times. The one time that made her change her mind and heart about him, was when he saved her from the sheriff who had advances towards her. Not once, but twice. Her Cowboy Hero.

Now, Callie, Ace, her hound Deathrow, Doc Perry, and Ace's best pal Jack are having to deal with spring on the ranch. People bringing horses to Callie's ranch to train with Callie being known to be the best trainer anywhere in Wyoming. Cattle drives. Everyone asking Ace to be the new sheriff. Ace being overprotective with Callie, her having seizures and all. But, everyone knows that Callie won't listen and go behind your back to do what you told her not to do. Ace is wanting to propose to Callie, but doesn't know how to go about it. But, he also has the weight of possibility being sheriff on his shoulders.

Just like Callie said, "Who knew what was going to be in there future."

Saving Grace by allie7

"Dance with me." While I knew it wasn't a demand, it wasn't a question either. I hesitated and he noticed. "Come on Grace, give this gentleman the honor of a dance." "I don't see a gentleman anywhere." He chuckled, stepping closer and tucking his thumbs into his tight jean pockets. He looked like every woman's dream--dark jeans that hugged him sinfully, golden-tanned skin contrasted by his white-fitted shirt, a black, wide-brimmed cowboy hat, and a smile that could send any woman on her knees. Not to mention a voice that coated your skin like silk sheets. I hated how much I noticed. "You're right, but I would like the honor anyway... ma'am." ********************* Meet Grace--living the city life, reserved, eager to please, loyal to a fault. Feeling empty for reasons she's not yet sure of, she's adamant on chasing anything that makes her feel free. Meet Colt--living the country life, private, stubborn, outspoken. Feeling empty for reasons he's well aware of, he hides in his daily routine. Grace can't seem to figure out why she holds nothing back when it comes to Colt. He's absolutely infuriating. Colt can't seem to understand the affect Grace has on him, and why he cares what she does. She's entirely maddening. When the two get lost in the wilderness, it's up to Colt to get them back. Can they put their differences aside long enough to survive? Is it Colt who will save Grace, or is it she who will be his saving grace? But soon, it all seems true. All of a sudden, the chip transforms her into a live Diamond Eye, one that she'd never really been meant to be. She's a real monster that turns on her friends and tries to destroy them instantly. At first, they can keep her back, but they're eventually forced to trap her in Rhea's bedroom. Soon, though, the monster version of Galen escapes her bonds and somehow manages to start mind-controlling Isabel. She lures her out to a remote part of the city, into a large arena. However, Isabel soon finds out that a terrorist woman who hadn't been killed before was still alive, for she has a chip inside her controlling Galen and Isabel. She makes them fight to the death and makes it so that Galen is forced to kill her friend. She later even gives them a bow and arrow to heat things up. But then she underestimates Isabel's speed and cleverness and, begging for forgiveness in her mind, Isabel shoots Galen in the chest with the arrow she has, which ultimately destroys both chips, kills the woman by throwing her from the wall and leaves Galen's life hanging by a thread as she lays bleeding on the ground. She finds the phone that was taken from her and calls Camila, Rhea, and the returned Skyla to explain everything. As soon as they get there, one of them hurriedly searches for what they know in the control room may fix everything... and keep Galen from being killed.

Book 1 in The Life and Death Duet This is the story of a boy who didn't think he could ever love somebody and a girl who definitely didn't believe in the idea of it. Years later, they become friends. She now only knows him as the boy who's been known to be ruthless and cold, not the boy she'd known long ago. Could he help her remember? They were complete opposites, yet alike in some ways, but still got pulled together by an invisible yet strong force... Love. Was that enough? And most importantly, would that change both of their perspectives on it? Two souls living two completely different lives. With different pasts. With secrets they both refused to reveal. Could they make it? Will she fall for death before he can catch her? _______________________________ "Harper." he stated, blankly. His deep voice almost gave me a heart attack. I looked at him, slightly shocked. Wait- How does he know my name? Is he going to kill me? I gulped. "Ace." I muttered quietly and looked away, back to the river view. I sighed, taking it all in again. ©2021.
