As WWII broke out it was an uneasy time along the Western coast of the US. For Japanese descendants the atmosphere became hostile.
Edith came from a prestigious family. She was a cello teacher. She had the love and attention of a handsome all-American man. But when a new mysterious man moved in across the street from her in the middle of the night, he caught her attention.
Tadashi ventured to America to start a new life away from the hardships, and heartache of Imperialistic Japan. Descending from both Russian and Japanese bloodlines, he bore the brunt of the growing tensions in California as the world edged closer and closer to war.
Edith soon discovered that Tadashi was a gentle giant, who adored her and not long after, she realises she adores him too.
