When Mia Ferro set out to start high school she thought that she had it all figured out and planned from the very start... but soon enough life herself proved to her that she couldn't have been more wrong. After a tumultuous and painful junior year filled with tears, heartbreak and countless of sleepless nights spent counting down the days to the end, a trip to her father's faraway home in Virginia seemed like the perfect recipe for a relaxing and thought-inducing summer. And again, life presented her with the unexpected.
In between a new and quirky group of friends and a chance encounter with a mysterious stranger and more than just enough drama to spice things up, Mia will have the chance the rediscover herself from scratch, put herself to the test and realize that the beauty of life doesn't lie in the destination, but in the journey undertaken to get there.
