Signal Mountain Boarding School is not your typical boarding school. No, SMBS is a school you get tossed into by your parents when you've got something to be depressed about. It's a rehab and a school in one. Every student enrolled has some type of story, most of them more depressing than the last.
Jenny Scott has spent the last year at this school, and now, at the start of her senior year, she's expecting a normal year. The bullying, the fights...she doesn't expect anything to be different.
And nothing is, until she's riding the horses the school bought to calm the students, and her horse goes crazy and takes off into the woods after the teacher walks off to take a student with a bloody nose to the nurses office. Pinhead asshole Ian Grant comes after her. After one look into her eyes, he was hooked. He wants her.
Jenny, however, wants nothing to do with him, because let's face it. He's a jerk.
Can Jenny push Ian's past behind her and allow herself to fall for him? Can Ian fight her walls and break through to her?

Jessie White stands out from the crowd. As a Southern woman, she defies the typical expectations for a twenty-four-year-old. While others her age might be in college or embarking on new careers, Jessie's upbringing on a ranch alongside four brothers equipped her with skills many would balk at. She's adept at horseback riding, calving, stall cleaning, and more. Fiercely independent, Jessie refuses to rely on any man, a resolve hardened after heartbreak at the hands of Max Lane, a rancher's son, two years prior. Jessie has resolved to take up bull riding, a skill that appears to be a family legacy. Her lifelong dream has been to ride a bull before an audience, but now, her ambition has shifted to rescuing the White Family Ranch after a substantial portion of their funds vanished and debts began accumulating. Max Lane's family is eager to buy the White Family Ranch, but Jessie refuses to let him take away the one thing that sustains her. Being a beauty bartender owner and a female bull rider makes things challenging. Everyone says she can't do it because she's a woman, but Jessie is determined to prove them all wrong. Initially skeptical, Trace Black doesn't recognize her potential until he witnesses her mount a bull for the first time. Although he may appear arrogant externally, that pales in comparison to his internal complexity. Trace and Jessie are initially oblivious to their chemistry, though it's evident to everyone around them. As Jessie gathers the courage to express her feelings to Trace, the things she dreads occur. However, it doesn't make matters worse; it alters everything profoundly. *WARNING* Book contains language, child loss, trauma, etc. Thank you for choosing my story! In Bridge Jumping, the reader meets Jaime Sawyer at the end of sixth grade. Jaime has two best friends, Hannah and Jess, but she also has aspirations of someday sitting at the cool table in the school cafeteria. She loves life and adventure and prides herself in being a daredevil. Jaime's uncomplicated innocence is shattered early in the seventh grade when she undergoes a traumatic experience, becomes ill and is forced to miss three months of school. During this time she recognizes the face in the mirror less and less as she struggles to hold on to the image of herself as a brave daredevil. The reader is welcomed inside Jaime's head and heart as she deals with the scary reality of living with Graves Disease. Jaime is frank and honest about how it feels to lose sight of the healthy girl she was. When she returns to school, she discovers the worst of the experience has yet to come. While she was out, rumors had abounded about where she was, and why she was gone. She finds herself in a very different place, socially - the cool table not only seems impossibly far away now, it's no longer even a thought in her head. The only thing she can think about is getting through each day - the teasing and name calling - and getting back to the safety of her home. By the end of the book, Jaime comes to realize that all she really needs to survive the treacherous journey of middle school is the love and support of her family, a true, strong belief in herself and one good friend. For those who have been through similar experiences, Jaime's journey may be comforting. For others, perhaps it will be eye-opening - shedding light on the ramifications of one's words and actions.

"Cool, lets go!" we jumped off his bed and ran towards his stairway, where he sat on his railing. "What are you doing?" I asked the crazy person. "Being cool," He jested just before he began to slide down his railing like a little kid. I just imagined him with a pair of shades covering his sea blue eyes, and pointing two finger shaped guns my way. Once he got to the bottom he jumped off to the side. "Your turn" He chirped to me. "Um..no I don't think so," "Come on! Don't be such a Debbie downer. I promise I will catch you," "This does not look safe" I pondered, moving slightly toward the railing. "It isn't," I widened my eyes. "Just do it, you will love it trust me," "Ugh, I think your crazy is rubbing off on me," I defeatedly stated. "Then you should be thanking me," That stupid smirk was back, and prominate through his handsome features. "And why is that," I asked quizzically. "Because crazy people live longer. Your welcome," I laughed harder than I should have to this before putting my butt on top of the railing and sliding down. Alex Rider is a spoiled arrogant jerk who is known to show up to school late and never try in class. He parents are finally done with having to pay to get him out of trying in anything. They decide to get him a tutor, but what they don't realize is they are setting their son up with the angel he's been wishing for. His tutor is a polite, sweet girl who doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Everyone is her friend, but she doesn't go out much. Just like everyone in the world, she has a chip on her shoulder that she's been trying the shake off since freshman year. She believes she can break this cocky teenager, but will she break more than she's willing to handle?
