Mangled hands have been turning up all over Scotland and the inhabitants are scared. Ten murders in ten weeks, all committed with a sword, and still nobody has a clue who the scheming killer is.

DI Sophia Snozcumber is a muscular and caring scout with a fondness for love. She doesn't know it yet but she is the only one who can stop the brutal killer.

When her sister, Sally Randall, is kidnapped, DI Snozcumber finds herself thrown into the centre of the investigation. His only clue is a squidgy record.

She enlists the help of a kind hairdresser called Harry Russell.

Can Russell help Snozcumber overcome her chocolate addiction and find the answers before the callous killer and his deadly sword strike again?
