A Poet's Secret by ookayooh

Being in love with your best friend isn't the ideal life situation but for Zora, it's her only life situation. Secretly harboring her feelings for her best friend, Sierra, Zora pours her emotions into her journal in the form of poetry. After years of keeping her attraction for her friend at bay and trying to deny her feelings by forcing herself to love a boy who unconditionally loves her, Zora's favorite emotional outlet becomes the cause of her life falling apart as the truth finally comes out. ***** It was happening again. It was dark, sunset, I waited for her to be done with volleyball practice 'because she was my ride'. Somehow we wandered from the gym to the football field and we were sitting at the very top of the bleachers staring at each other. Her dark hair mirrored the direction of the wind, the setting sun being replaced by the brightness of her smile. We were sitting so close I could feel her warmth. It was an unusual situation. Friends don't do this. We held eye contact for a long time before I couldn't take it anymore and just closed my eyes. It wasn't real, she was just my friend. Then, I felt her tuck a strand of my curly hair behind my ear. That with the chill of the night sent shivers down my spine and a swarm of butterflies attacked my stomach. I reopened my eyes. If she didn't want me, why did she look at me that way? I held her hand and I held it for so long because I didn't know if we'd have another moment like this. We talk and laugh and she tells me I'm pretty and I ask her if she'd just noticed that and we laugh again. I realize the feelings I felt in that moment were not just the intense feelings of attraction that I felt every time I was with her. Warmth flooded to my face and if it wasn't for my dark complexion, my blush would be noticeable. I look into her dark-colored eyes and I come to the conclusion that I'm royally fucked and I'm probably also in love.
Summer Memories by LETollin
25 parts Complete
Yoona's summer plans were simple: survive the history exam, avoid awkward small talk, and recharge by the sea with a good book. Falling for her brother's best friend? Not on the agenda. But when quiet, bookish Nate offers to help her study, late-night cramming sessions turn into beach walks, stolen glances, and something she never expected-real connection. Between heart-to-hearts under the stars and slow, tender moments that make her chest ache, Yoona starts to wonder if this summer might mean something more. As college approaches and the end of summer looms, friendships shift, love blooms, and secrets unravel-including one that could change everything about the bet they made during the first week at the beach... "I knew that if I wanted to make a move, this was the moment. I snuck a glance at her-her skin glowed under the soft radiance of the lanterns' flickering light. She looked so beautiful. I didn't want to ruin it by saying anything. Instead, I looked down at her hand. Slowly, I shifted mine toward hers, careful not to startle her. She seemed deep in thought, mesmerized by the beauty above us. My hand brushed against hers, then I pulled away instinctively-but when I reached out again, this time a bit more bravely, she didn't retreat. Instead, she moved closer. And when our fingers finally intertwined, I closed my eyes and let the happiness rush through me. The tension in my chest evaporated, and I finally exhaled." New chapter every day - double updates on Fridays!

Notes of the Heart

8 parts Ongoing Mature

Notes of the Heart is a tender, slow-burning tale of love, ambition, and the lessons no textbook can teach. Hazel Leigh was focused on her goals, determined to reclaim the best version of herself until Damien walked in like a quiet storm, all soft eyes and unexpected charm. What started as casual conversations and hallway glances soon turned into something deeper... something she wasn't sure how to name. "Why do you keep looking at me like that?" she asked one afternoon. "Because," he said simply, "I can't help it." Between whispered secrets and rainy morning memories, Hazel begins to realize that love can be both a comfort and a test. But the deeper she falls, the more the lines between right and real begin to blur. "Do you ever think about what happens if we're just... not meant to be?" she asked. He smiled faintly. "Then I'll still be glad I met you." In a world of changing friendships, buried truths, and growing dreams, Hazel must decide: can she hold on to her heart and still chase who she wants to become? Because sometimes the sweetest beginnings hold the sharpest turns. And not all stories go the way we expect some rewrite us along the way. When the heart writes its own story... will she like the ending? "This semester, love isn't the only thing on the syllabus." New chapters. New feelings. New heartbreak.
