'Don't Mess with the Dress...' *** For twelve years, Arianne d'Artagnan has been in the midst of the English Civil War and after disaster struck, she went into hiding to protect herself and eventually returning to her homeland of France. With her family thinking she is dead, she uses her new-found freedom to explore, learn and live her life her way, using her skills and knowledge of living during a bloody war to defend and inspire herself all while praying the English do not find her. But after arriving in Paris, Arianne learns that a lot has changed, specifically the disbanding of the King's Musketeers. Reuniting with her father's long-term friend, Captain Treville and his family, they keep her presence in the capital a secret as Arianne trains her skills with the sword with the man who had trained alongside her own father. Yet a chance encounter results in Arianne taking work in the Louvre, where she meets two other girls, Violette Leblanc and Chloe Fortier, both with secretive pasts, whose own skills in self-defence go beyond anything she knows. However, a treason plot is unravelling before their eyes. Someone is out to get King Christophe and it seems his advisors, Cardinal Mazarin and his uncle, Prince Gaston, want him to believe it in his head, slowly making the King believe he is going insane. When the girls learn of this, the girls secretly train together to perfect their musketeer skills and prove all men wrong that women can do a man's job, especially when no man can be trusted. But when Arianne's feelings for the young king reawaken, she puts her life and that of everyone around her in danger as her past in England catches up to her. The pasts of Chloe and Violette soon haunt them too but they take it upon themselves to protect Christophe, his family and their friends even if it means, losing their honour, their loves and their lives. *** © 2016 ElenaRose18 All Rights Reserved

Quite a lot of them, more than she should have. She is Ladybug; The Parisian superheroine that battles daily against powerful supervillains with her partner, her identity secured by a polka dotted mask. But while her partner is just like every other teenager under the mask, Marinette wears another facade beneath her alter-ego's magical suit. A Princess undercover as a Parisian teenager. The Princess of China. Forced to leave China due to the threat of rebels, the royal family of China camouflages under their disguise of being bakers. But their time of stepping back up in front of their people isn't far away as Princess Marinette's eighteenth birthday approaches. Along with her eighteenth birthday, comes Marinette's coronation. What happens when the Queen makes the mistake of sending the invitations of the coronation to Marinette's oblivious friends? And their plan of disappearing from France quietly goes down the drain as her friends follow them to China, making it harder to keep her identity a secret. Let's add boy troubles, liars, rich blonde brats, nosy friends, ready-to-kill rebels and oh, not to forget, a homicidal cousin. Sounds like a party, huh? Can Marinette sort things out in a messy whirlwind where every aspect of her life is thrown together to make a detestable mixture? [tw: strong language, mild violence, mentions of death and gore, panic attacks]
