Ludwig didn't know what to do next. Should he hug him? Shake his hand? Nod politely? Refer to him as Mr. Vargas for the rest of the day to avoid any awkwardness and to regain his trust? He went with the third option. "Thank you, Lovino. Grazie." and then he waited. Waited for something to happen. For Cupid's army to fall out of the sky and cause Lovino to feel the same way as he did. That was asking too much.
