I wrote this poem because my mom wanted to know how I felt about being adopted, as I'm currently in foster care, and I figured that hey! Here is a way I can tell you how I feel, with something that I truly love to do :) So, this is what I came up with over a period of hours and a day. <3All Rights Reserved

I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Life can be so ugly at times, but I promise things always get better. Not your typical romance or teen fiction book! My real life experience with fiction added :) Returning from my six year hiatus with a new book....my bad.
