A teenage girl, Andrea, is trapped in her own depressed mind. The only person who can save her from herself is her boyfriend, Jeremy. Towards the end of senior year, something terrible happens in Andrea's life and she is left traumatized. A year later, in her freshman year of college, she meets new people and learns things about herself she never knew, and also finds out new things about her haunting past. Told in the first person point of view, this short story shows that the overpowering loneliness in someone can vanish by just the touch of someone who cares.
