My story begins in April, when I regained consciousness underwater as a mermaid tied to a human. I had a life before then, but I can't remember it. I wouldn't even know my name if it wasnt for Peter, the human that was not only tied to me in my earliest memory but has the ties to my past. My story is a quest through the unfamiliar to find a past I wouldn't recognize; with nothing but my human for a guide.

Not to keen of each other but still wanting to get the work done, they discover a cave with an oh so familiar Moonpool. As magic strikes, suddenly their lives take a 180° Turn. Their normal lives as they knew them? As gone as a dead fish in a stream. Will a shared secret bring these 4 together? Or will huge waves crash between them because of it? Note: My writing style does improve along the way, please trust the process. It does get good.
A Mermaid for the Lonely
A mermaid named Sirène, whose job as a mermaid is to guide those who have died at sea to rest their souls and not be trapped. She typically finds sailors whose ships have sunk, and pirates and convoys alike. Her personality is one of seriousness, and she does not express herself by facial expressions very often. She does sung lovely tunes though, ones of the sea and winds, not ones meant to lure anyone to their doom. She seldom spends time with other merfolk and prefers to be on her own. She is however very curious of the various emotions humans possess and their intensity, since she does not feel these. One day, while Sirène was staying near Pointe de Pen Hir, a dangerous cliffside that plunges right into the ocean. Looking upwards by chance, she saw a human, a man, standing dangerously near the edge of the rocks. The wind blew harshly and she could only watch and wait as he toppled over the edge and feel towards the ocean. She saw no fight in him as he fell. ________________________________________________________________ This is a fantasy story with my mermaid OC that I started making back when I was in middle school. I've used her character to help me through tough times and I am revisiting her. I want to make sure I have a place to remember her story, and make it a happier one than before.Complete
