this story is based off of THE SELECTION by Kiera Cast which I absolutely adore. Please do not accuse me of "stealing" her book. I simply want to use this idea and change the characters, the feelings, and the plot of the story with similarities. I love The Selection series and I hope you will enjoy this one. :))

Angelina Everly, a typical 16-year-old girl. Living in the United Kingdom, which is divided into different Counties. There are 10 counties. 1 being the richest, 10 the poorest. Angelina was lucky. She lived in County 4. Near the middle. Before Angelina was born, the royal family had renamed the country to Alicia. 20 years later, the royal family of the U.K. is searching for a new princess of Alicia for their son, the prince, Greyson Faye, 18-years-old. 

Angelina had no experience in dating. Completely unaware of what love was. While Angelina had assumptions that Prince Greyson should've probably had tons of girls over seen as he's the prince. Angelina signs up for the selection. A competition in which 35 other girls from Alicia would compete with each other to get Prince Greyson's attention and his love to be worthy enough to be chosen. 

But could Angelina really receive Prince Greyson's attention?

When she died, Saya was barely eight years old, and had to go live with her uncle, on the opposite coast of the island. He was abusive to her, but she never had anywhere to go and Saya felt bad for him. His wife had died the year before, so he didn't think he had a purpose in life. The neighbors knew what he was doing, but didn't have the proof to bring it to the police. Saya heard of a tiquando class nearby, and wanted to learn to protect herself, so she snuck in every day and practiced from a safe distance. One day, two kids found her and they later became friends, their names were Lin and Jaune. When Saya was eleven, her uncle was murdered, and the police arrested her, since she was the only one living there. Later, Lin and Jaune were arrested trying to break her out. They've been there ever since. Hey guys! So I know this is a long description, but that is just a little background information on the main character in this book. This is one of my first stories so please forgive me for whatever my seem stupid.

One night, during one of the Prince's courting events - a special type of ball, where dozens of young woman would dress up and dance with the prince, in an attempt to win over his heart and become queen to the Kingdom - An uninvited guest arrived. It was a poor, shivering, elderly woman seeking shelter from the bitter winter storm. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the prince dismissed the woman. As a gift, the old woman offered the prince a single rose, but when he dismissed her again, the woman's outer appearance melted away. Only to reveal a beautiful enchantress. The prince begged for forgiveness, but it was too late - for she could see there was no love in his heart. The enchantress cursed the prince, transforming him into a hideous beast - and if he was unable to learn to love another, and earn their love in return by the time the last petal from the rose she offered had fallen, he would remain a beast forever. But the enchantress also placed the curse upon his innocent castle staff, who were transformed into antiques; suffering for the prince's mistake(s) in small, rusting, metallic bodies. Life was hard enough for the staff, but now - it was unbearable. ~ This story will go through the staff's struggles before, DURING, and after they were cursed. It will also fill plot holes and extend the ending of Beauty And The Beast. A majority of this story is a prequel, and will fall into a bit of a sequel as well, so I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

If there was a competition to win the prince's heart and become the queen wold you enter? it seems like a simple answer, but not for Emily. Emily is a six, which means she has been looked down upon and shunned by society for her whole life. her mother beleives the only way to change this is to enter the upcoming competition. Sure it will solve their money problems for a while but is it worth all the constant attention, and not all positive. anyways, by watching the report every friday for her entire existence she has learned that the prince only cares about appearances and what social caste you are in. She is gorgeous woman with raven hair and gray-blue eyes who was a waitress in the tavern. Her family owned the establishment with her father and brother working behind the bar and she serving the tables. He was instantly attracted to her and she was too. They fall in love and work towards living their happily ever after. But the girl soon learns that happily ever after is rare for a royal.

When she gets to the palace, she starts to fall deeper all the while surviving rebel attacks and rude bitches.
