Estee is a young girl who has become bored with her life with her grandfather. She's sent for bread one day and spots her older brother, Marius. She's overjoyed to see her brother again and quickly comes to enjoy his friends. As the revolution nears she finds herself slipping into it more against her family's wishes. She tries to find ways to help without letting her brother know too much about her intentions and the secrets she hides from him. She wants to fight with them but she also finds herself falling for one of the boys when her grandfather has other plans for her. What will become of little Estee?
