Aoi and Tsubame have endured harsh pasts, like many of the cadets in the past. Filled with anger and remorse about their past, the two girls decide to join the cadets and eventually the Scout Regiment. They do not trust anyone but themselves, very different from back then.
Soon, they will learn that it is an ultimate sacrifice and they will have to learn discipline and how to put their trust in others.
