Lee Marshall was anything but a typical woman, she grew up in a military home with her father, General George Marshall or simply, The General, her mother, sweet Caroline, and her two older brothers, Grant and Jackson. Yup, you guessed it, they are all three named after famous generals. Her father was a strict but fair military man, U.S. Army. Her brothers followed in the family tradition that went back for hundreds of years and enlisted in the Army. They all three attended military school, then West Point. Much to her father's dismay and pride, she signed up too.
The military didn't make things easy for her, it is still very much a man's world, but Lee didn't take anyone's shit. She was tough, focused and damn good at her job. If they let women into the special forces, she would have been perfect, but they didn't so she was one of the best damned weapons specialists out there. She made it her life and loved every minute of it.
When her mother died from breast cancer,Lee, Grant, and Jackson had been deployed and although her brothers had been called back, she was on a mission that they couldn't pull her out of in Fallujah, that mission changed her life forever. She was captured along with her team and held prisoner for two weeks before the SEAL team got them out. She was never the same after that, and due to the injuries she sustained, medically discharged from the Army. She had a long road to recovery ahead of her and knew she was on her own.
Carter Stevens was a hardcore Navy SEAL who lived one day at a time, one mission at a time. He never settled down in one place and he was done with that. He was ready for a good woman and a family of his own. He had no family to speak of, the SEALs were all he had, all he needed until he meets Lee. She storms into his life, all pissed off, and throws him for a loop. Will they click or blow themselves to pieces?

I felt the scar that night. It was the worst feeling ever. All that I know is that I'm running. Again. Only this time, it may be for the last time.
I knew there was something about her when I met her in school. Something familiar. How I missed it, I don't know. All I know is that I'm glad I met her when I did.
Before I was likely going to be killed.
I felt the scar grappling with my friend. It knocked me unconscious. Since then, my entire heart had gone into working at NCIS, same place my Cêpan works. But something came up. They had found me. I was sure of it. That's why, by some bloody miracle, Gibbs let me work the undercover operation in Paradise, Ohio by myself.
When I met him in the office, I knew something was up. Then I started getting hurt. I had never gotten hurt, save for the scars on my leg. So what was going on?
John Smith, meet Number Seven. Marina Nightshade, meet Number Four.
May the joining of the Lorien Garde commence.
***
Nope. Don't own The Lorien Legacies series, that belongs to Pittacus Lore. Don't own NCIS, that goes to . . . well, whoever owns NCIS.
However, Marina Nightshade is an OC. She's a character I made for a game my cousin and I play. Ironically, we got into I Am Number Four, and there went my imagination. She does have The Power of Six's Seven's powers, though. Savannah Starlight belongs to my cousin, along with anything she can do.
I also do not own the cover. It was made by marveously_crazed.
