Ember Jones has always felt like an outsider, like she didn't truly belong. Her only friends are her cousin Avalon Jones, who she grew up with and is like a sister to her, and her best friend Aria Hall. When Kyle and Adam turn up in town, Ember realises she may not be an outsider after all. Turns out that Kyle, Adam, Aria and Ember are the Element Children. The children of Fire, Water, Earth and Air. Ember's real mother is Fire, while Aria's is Air, Kyle's is water and Adam's is Earth. It is their destiny to battle The Darkness and it's children to keep the world balanced. But this time it's different, the darkness has more children to fight and the Element Children must be better warriors than their predecessors. Then everything changes when Ember falls in love with Blake, a child of darkness. Will the Element's win this time, or will darkness beat them?
