Aya is a 16-year-old girl who moved to Japan to live with her Aunt Cassey after the tragic death of her parents. Though she presents herself as sarcastic, independent, and tough, there's something off about her-something she refuses to share with anyone. She flinches at certain questions, gets lost in thought when she thinks no one's looking, and sometimes, for just a moment, the mask she wears slips.
