Withelen is a rather small town in the country of The Unified Conglomerates of Anica. A small stone wall surrounds the inhabitants, numbering in the low hundreds, which is used to ward off evil spirits. As recent events would have it, a series of supernatural deaths have been occurring the nearby Black Burn Forest just west of the town, and Mason Halsey, of the Anica National Magic and Unnatural Crime Agency is put on the case.
