Nico is a thief, and Will is a prince, and they are very doomed. 

Really, it probably started when Nico robbed the king. Or maybe when he winked at the prince from across the marketplace. Or maybe when he orchestrated thrilling castle escapes, humiliating the royal family and guard without so much as breaking a sweat. 

Or, maybe it was just when he first noticed that Prince William is incredibly handsome. 

Yeah, that's probably what doomed them, actually--because after that, any hope of living relatively normal lives flew completely out the carriage window. But hey--Nico /is/ a thief after all, so maybe it's not so shocking that he'd steal Will's heart, too.

Nico di Angelo is finally happy. He's learning to accept himself for his sexuality and as a son of Hades. After everything horrible that has happened to him, he's slowly getting better with the help of Will and his friends. Will Solace finally got the boy of his dreams. The boy he had a crush on since he was 11 years old. He's starting to realize that he isn't as useless as he thinks he is, and that he's actually worth something. Everything is going great for a while. But just like it always is for demigods, nothing good ever lasts. The death of Nico's first and closest friend Jason Grace puts a sudden end to the sunshine that currently brightens Nico's life for once. His death triggers a lot of things for him, and shines light on a lot of his unresolved trauma. Will Nico be able to make it through this without his mental stability completely breaking once and for all? Will Nico be able to let people in enough to help him get through it? And what about the mysterious dreams that Nico keeps having of his mom? And who really is this little girl that knows nothing about her past? In this sequel to Out of the Shadows, Nico sees familiar faces and revisits past places, but at least this time he has Will along for the ride. Will Solace, son of King Apollo, has live a normal life in the Sun Palace with loving and supporting family. He's never had to worry too much about what his parents thought of him. Two years after Nico was rejected by his father, his older sister, Bianca, comes to him with news. She is getting married to Prince Will Solace and he's been invited back to his home palace to meet his soon to be brother in law. Nico agrees, for the sake of his sisters, to come home. What could go wrong if he were to go home? The answer: Everything. (Cover done by me, but no the art of Nico or Will. I wish I could make art like that though)

Everything was going fine in the rebellion until the prince showed up. Or, according to the leader at least. Prince William claimed to "know intel about the enemies" and "be able to fight" and "not have a crush on the injured soldier boy he found on the journey." Yeah, right, Will. You keep telling yourself that. Meanwhile, Nico--Soldier 1017--is only trying to survive the night. With nothing and no one to save him from his upcoming execution for failing to follow orders, Nico's future looks pretty bleak. A raid and a rebellion bring them together. Every day they fight their pasts and their futures, and every day they promise to each other that they will make it to the sun, to the stars, and to the sky. Edited January 2024. Will has never introduced Nico to his family due to his family being incredibly biased towards monsters, in particular Vampires. But now they've been dating for over a year and half, and due to unfortunate circumstances, Nico even lives with the Solaces. Will can't keep these parts of his life separate so he decides that they'll be able to hide Nicos vampireism from his family so that way they can all meet. or: Nico is a vampire and Wills family hates monsters. He brings Nico to meet his family anyways so they have to hide the fact that Nico is a vampire from them. Shit hits the rocks as expected. Minor tw: Referenced abuse, a bit of gore, blood SECOND CHAPTER: Red as Strawberries There's a huge snowstorm where Will and Nico get snowed into there house and Nico is out of blood.

He may even had hooked up with someone who, in a million years, he would never hook up with. Especially when it risked revealing his sexuality he had been repressing for years. Although, he doesn't entirely remember it, and neither does Nico di Angelo-the annoying know-it-all who always seemed to be more focused on studying than partying. In fact, he didn't even want to go to the party, he was dragged to the place by his step-sister, and he's never been more annoyed by a jock than he has with Will. Plus, he's in love with the hopelessly beautiful Percy Jackson. The two would definitely prefer to go their separate ways-except for the fact that they both ended up at the same summer internship fighting for the same position. This was gonna be one hell of a summer.

The Ghost King is a supervillain, but luckily there's a superhero here to protect you from him. Sunburst spends his days chasing after the Ghost King, cursing the Ghost King for making him skip school to go defend the city, and bickering with the Ghost King. Will Solace is sure that he's going to be the one to finally get the bounty for the Ghost King. The Ghost King is a supervillain. So why won't he hurt anyone? The Ghost King is the city's only supervillain--so who is this new villain, and how can Nico and Will survive them? The Ghost King is a supervillain, which is why Will Solace is feeling a little bit ridiculous to be blushing when they touch. Maybe the Ghost King isn't as much of a supervillain as Will Solace originally assumed-and maybe the best way to defeat the new villain in the city is to work with his ex-enemy. - Edited January and February 2024.
