Iona Ellarian was born to the ruling family of Layonara, a grand grey elf city at the base of Mount Xerena. Iona's childhood was one of secrecy due to the city's long war with the Elos Clora forest city. The prince of Elos Clora, Thalio, has rampaged through all towns and villages searching for the rare, violet eyed elf to make her his bride. Iona, now a young woman, hears of her twin brother, Iolan, disappearing after Elos Clora takes over Layonara. Although she has been taught her whole life that she can not return to the castle, Iona feels a growing need inside of her to find her brother and save her home from being destroyed. With little to no experience with the outside world, Iona must rely on her minimal training, instincts, and people she meets along the way in order to rescue her twin and the rest of her people.
