Mariah isn't normal. She never has been. Ever since she was 3 years old she's heard voices in her head. Not voices that are nice. No, these voices wasn't her conscience at all. These voices were people. These voices were people who wanted her dead. People that she saw on a daily basis. People that lead her to hurting herself. Cutting, running away, and breaking bones is what her life consists of. She has never had anyone love her because of this. Everyone is scared of her. Soon she becomes homeschooled and anti-social. She's been to a mental institution more than 8 times in one year. Things are hectic and she's just ready to die. But will someone finally learn to love her because they understand what she's going through?

Having schizophrenia was a pain sometimes, but it didn't mean Nico was crazy, even if the voices told him he was. The real ones, and the ones in his mind. The only person he could ever consider a friend would be his psychologist (aka his therapist), Jenny, who he had grown a strong connection with over the 4 years he had been going to see her. He didn't trust anyone else. Nico knew that no one would look past it all like she does. That is, until Will Solace enters the picture, the happy go lucky college student striving to be a therapist.
