'Imogen, what the fuck is going on?'
'Ugh! Nothing and it's none of your business anyway!' I shouted at Ryder. My whole body ached and dried blood restricted my movement but I strutted off with my head high. The further I got from Ryder the more my heart ached. I told myself over and over that I didn't need anyone's help but my heart told me to let someone in.

Imogen's life never used to be so lonely and messed up. She was once innocent but now she'd been blinded by everything bad in the world. She built herself a hard exterior to cover her emotions and turned to street fighting for money. Living alone for the past five years she learned the hard way that she can't trust people.

But what happens when one night after a street fight, covered in blood she bumps in to Ryder - the school 'bad boy'? Desperate to find out what's going on in Imogen's life Ryder takes the time to look out for her in and outside of school. Will he give up when she blanks him like she does everyone else, or will he stay by her side until she trusts him enough to accept his help?
