After the fall of the angels Chuck returned and revealed himself as God, he rerose the angels and gave Castiel his grace back. He healed Sammy. Cas and Dean had finally admited there love for each other and of course Sam grined everytime he saw them together as if to say ' I knew it all along' . All was well, for a while at least.
