"So you're trying to tell me that the ghost of my crazy sister is running around the school possessing people because she's made it her afterlife's long mission to bring us together?" Jake raised an eyebrow.

I nodded in response to his casual question.

"Great."

Have you ever read a cliché 'Player x Good girl' story?

No?

Liar, liar pants on fire. We all have and it's a given fact.

Well then safe to say, we all know exactly how the plot of this book will not progress, because a typical 'Player x Good girl' plot is exactly what this story will never have.

With a reckless ghost of a former Queen-B of Richard High (Kendall Parker) in the cast, the events are bound to take a sudden turn. Kendall is determined to bring a Player (Jake Parker) and a relatively Good girl (Beatrice Marin) together. Soon the two are thrown into each other at an unbelievable velocity (literally).

As time passes though, secrets unravel and more people are dragged into the mess. But Kendall always gets what she thinks is best no matter who gets hurt along the way.

Could this be an exception though?

Are Beatrice and Jake really destined for each other? Or is this just a simple mistake, a mere misunderstanding?

Because if they are meant to be then destiny (in the name of Kendall Parker) is playing a dangerous game, let me tell you that.

She wanted to test a theory. He wanted to win a bet. What could possibly go wrong? ------------------------------------------------- Why was this shit so much easier in the books?! The Macy Anderson in me would spit out the alternatives to every curse word known to man. The Ruby Buchannan in me would knee him in the groin. The Mia Hastings in me would lunge at him first, taking him on that table right there and now. The Haley Geller in me would confuse the fuck out of him by asking way too many questions. Hell! Even the Tessa Young in me would do something, like beg him to come at me with her desperate but wild ass... But the Lola Dino in me -aka the me, me- just stands there frozen, contemplating a very important decision in her head: fuck, fuck, fuck! Who do I act as next?! Um, how about yourself for a change? My conscience decides NOW to be a smartass. Yeah, right? Like that's ever worked before. Not even having the slightest clue of what to do, I wait for him to make the first move instead, and then I'll just go from there. So, I wait. And I wait. And I wait. And I wait. I wait as we remain staring at one another -I like a deer in headlights and he like a predator stalking his prey- for what seems like forever. But when his ripped, muscular frame finally charges at me, his strong tattooed hand instantly meeting the back of my head, he crashes my lips onto his so forcefully that I'm now just left with one thought and one thought only: Lola Dino, what the hell did you just get yourself into? ------------------------------------------------- *WARNING: Contains mature content including language, sex, violence, and drugs. **If you read this when it was out before, please read it again. I changed quite a few things in it, and hopefully made it better. Thanks :) ** Luke Daniels is the typical player. He gets a new woman every week, and has never had a relationship past one night stands. Abused as a child he was steered the wrong path; as he was never taught the meaning of love by his abusive father. With his mother dead, he turns to the only person who he knows. His dad. So when his dad starts bringing home a new women every few weeks, Luke can't help but take after his dad. So he leads the life of flings, and nothing more. With no plans for college, as a senior, well it's pretty safe to say he is doomed. Alexis Walker is not your typical High School girl. Unlike the other 95% of girls at Eastwood High, she gets good grades, plans on going to a decent college, and finding that one man to complete her life. Her parents have a wonderful and loving marriage and show no signs of slowing down as they both work as Eastwoods' most prestigious lawyers. Her life is perfect, in her eyes. That is until the school player, Luke Daniels, targets her as his next one night stand.
