River Lys

Lily Troy has just moved with her family in the outskirts of New York hoping to start a new life but her family's problematic past continues to linger around them breaking out into arguments that eventually lead Lily to walk everyday by a River called Lys.

The walks help a little but there's only so far you can go until you have to turn back home, but one day Lily discovers what seems like an abandoned home, it was grand and beautiful and had a perfect view of the river.

For a while Lily goes there to clear her mind , until one random afternoon she finds a boy wandering the house, a boy named Tom who previously lived in that house and visits it often. An unexpected friendship is created between the two when they realize how much they have in common.

Though there is a plot twist to this story of a friendship that blossoms into an unlikely romance and it's something that Lily might never be able to forgive.
