Vasilisa Whiteley always thought of herself as a completely normal teenage girl. That is, until she moved to England. When Lissa's adopted parents divorce, she is taken in by the mysterious Devereaux Ravenwood. Lissa expects a calm English life, but instead she gets a rather massive twist in her story when she finds out that she no longer has to read about fantasy creatures when she can just go downstairs and say hi to them, because Devereaux isn't the only one living in the mansion. In fact, most of the time, Devereaux isn't even around, but her five inhumanly gorgeous new roommates are. Dirik, Lucas, Livius, Darian and Adarius De Alcandrius. From the moment Lissa sets eyes on them, she knows that something is off about this whole thing. What is the reason that after all these years Devereaux suddenly steps up and what are the weird and painful cramps that Lissa has recently been getting? There is an explanation for all of this, and it is the most unexpected one. Lissa isn't human and neither are any of the resident of the house. They are more of the kind that would sneak into your room in the middle of the night and leave two puncture wounds on your neck. Lissa tries to cope with the dramatic turn her life has taken and the De Alcandrius brothers aren't making it any easier. Especially when something strong and strange is continuously drawing her towards Lucas, who she just wants nothing to do with. What is Lissa's purpose in this new world that she has discovered and will she learn to adjust to it?
