Elene Spencer is a seventeen years old girl that has gone through so much in her life. She was the girl that had everything in the beginning: a happy family, wealth, and anything a child ever wanted...now all she has is a necklace, a few clothes that was bought just before her family died, and a beautiful singing voice. That's it.
After her family died, her aunt and her daughters moved in and stripped everything away from Elene. They used and abused her. They took the money that was left for Elene from her parents and claimed it theirs. They showed her no love.
When everyone from their school is invited to a masquerade ball, Elene's aunt forbids her from going. When Elene's aunt take her daughters to the ball, Elene's only friend surprises her with not only a designed mask but a beautiful dress to wear. They go to the ball and Elene unintentionally catches the eye of the richest, and most handsome man in the East coast, by her voice, Jordan Carmichael, he makes it his mission to get to know her.
When Elene notices her cousins leaving the ball, she quickly makes her exit but not without leaving something most dearest to her. Jordan finds it. The next few weeks he sets off to find her mysterious girl with the beautiful voice who loses her necklace.
