Having been just out of having the government play mom and dad for most of her life, Andy isn't as ready for the real world as she thought she would be. She's awkward and a bit anti-social, so being out and about on her own is both great, but like hell. Normal responsibilities are enough, but when something strange happens to her involving a naked man appearing in her bed and another man who forms from smoke from no where, her world becomes harder than ever. She's informed that she's going to have to take care of the young, dashing man named Aiden, who woke her up and almost made her kill herself. He's dead-or alive-or something. Anyway, he was accidentally killed by a Reaper, and since he wasn't destined to die that day, he's handed over to Andy to help find his soul mate before he's dragged back into the World of the Undead. Given only a year to help him, Andy slowly stops wondering whether or not she was crazy, that this was all just a long dream she was going to awake from soon, and she starts to develop feelings for Aiden. But she can't. She's supposed to be playing Cupid, finding Aiden his soul mate, and she's obviously not his because, why would the Gods set you up as Cupid-for-a-Year for a person when that person's soul mate is you?
