In the year 2017, twelve nations formed together to colonize a planet, Nova Prime. They put the Paradise project, which would make Nova Prime a safe haven for citizens of Earth. Paradise's leaders became tyrannic and began to destroy Earth, sending the world into a panic frenzy that would launch one hundred thousand ships into space, all to one destination, Paradise.

If we stayed there any longer, we would have died. Earth was no longer our home, but instead a barren waste land from which we had to escape.
