"For Christ Arose" is a rondeau style poem that was developed by the French for the round abt. the 13th century. Earlier forms were roundel, and the rondeaux; I wrote the poem for the Christian Holiday seasons of Christmas, and Easter. In this style of rondeau the first 4 syllables of line one are repeated as the last lines of the second and third stanza. The rhyme scheme is: First stanza,5 lines rhyming a, a, b, b, a; second stanza, 4 lines rhyming a, a, b, plus refrain; third stanza, 6 lines rhyming a, a, b, b, plus refrain.
