The year is 2038 and all known diseases and illnesses have been cured. There are no doctors offices and hospitals and pharmacies have only first aid supplies. When seventeen year old Annie Grey winds up sick, the city goes into a panic. She is immediately whisked away to a makeshift quarantine where she is poked and studied daily. Afraid and confused, Annie is determined to convince everyone, including herself, that she is not abnormal.
But what if she is? After all, she did get sick in a world where sickness is impossible, and even she isn't sure anymore. Soon, things begin to turn sinister and Annie begins to question her own sanity.
