A lot of people here in my culture believe that our past does not affect our today and strongly abhor the idea of psychological help basing themselves with the myth that that's only for westerns or whites as they put it and its a sign of weakness , that somehow it vanishes and becomes simply forgotten, even if they don't they act like it which in reality isn't true at all. This is a true story that shares and proves how deeply our past affects us despite our denial. I'm southern African- specifically Mosotho and this is my story
